About Jody Kriss

Jody Kriss is the founder of Kriss Capital LLC, a boutique real estate investment and development firm based in NYC. Jody is a prolific and experienced developer, owner/operator, and lender.

Kriss Capital provides debt capital to real estate developers and owner/operators through its venture with a $700 million discretionary fund. Kriss has also completed over a dozen development projects as a sponsor including hundreds of condo units in NYC ranging the spectrum from adaptive re-use of an East Village synagogue and UWS landmark buildings to development of a NYC skyscraper. He’s also successfully assembled and exited a portfolio of income-producing commercial and residential buildings across Connecticut.

Directly after his undergraduate education, Jody Kriss began working as an Analyst and Project Manager for the Athena Group, helping to develop high-end real estate in Manhattan. The first property he worked on, 838 Fifth Avenue, was the first condominium to reach $2,000 per square foot in 1999. Jody also worked at APC Realty Advisors, an investment banking firm where he contributed to a multitude of projects, including the conversion of a 100,000 square foot condominium in Tribeca.
